Jean O'Brien has worked as a tutor with the IWC for the past ten years. Her latest book of poetry Lovely Legs was published by Salmon Publishing in 2009. She is the winner of the 2010 Arvon International Poetry Competition and the 2008 Fish International Poetry Prize

She was Writer-in-Residence for Co. Laois and has a wide experience in facilitating creative writing classes in libraries, county councils, prisons, The National Prints Museum, schools, and other places.

She has also published fiction and works occasionally as a freelance journalist. She holds an M.Phil in Creative Writing from Trinity College, Dublin. www.jeanobrien.ie
